A Stealthy Way to a Straighter Smile

Clear aligners from Invisalign® are custom-made, clear plastic trays that fit snugly over your teeth, gradually shifting them into place. Unlike traditional braces, these aligners are nearly invisible, allowing you to straighten your teeth without anyone noticing.

With Pickett Orthodontics’ advanced digital technology, Dr. Pickett carefully designs each stage of your treatment. You’ll get a series of aligners tailored to your needs, with each one making slight adjustments until you reach your desired smile.

Invisible Treatment, Obvious Upsides

Clear aligners bring a host of benefits, making orthodontic treatment easier and more convenient than ever. Let’s explore what makes them stand out.

Hidden Treatment

Clear aligners are designed to blend in. Made from transparent, BPA-free plastic, they offer an “invisible” treatment option that won’t draw attention. Unlike metal braces, these aligners keep your smile under wraps until it’s ready for a full reveal.

Convenient & Flexible

One of the biggest perks of clear aligners is flexibility. They’re removable, so you can eat, drink, and brush your teeth with ease. This means no food restrictions and no special cleaning tools—just pop out your aligners when you need to, and slip them back in when you’re done.

For best results, you’ll need to wear them at least 22 hours a day, but the freedom to remove them makes it easier to manage your lifestyle.

Superior Comfort

Clear aligners are crafted from smooth plastic, molded to fit your teeth precisely. This design eliminates the discomfort of metal wires and brackets and minimizes irritation. With clear aligners, you’ll experience a gentler, more comfortable path to your new smile.

Tailored to Your Teeth

Each set of clear aligners is custom-created to match the exact structure of your teeth and gums. Dr. Pickett uses advanced 3D imaging to build a digital model of your mouth, ensuring a precise, effective fit.

Your Clear Path to a Greater Smile

At Pickett Orthodontics, we’ve streamlined the clear aligner process to make it as easy and effective as possible. Here’s how it works:

01

Meet Dr. Pickett for a Consult

Your journey begins with a free consultation at our Mobile or Jackson office. Dr. Pickett will examine your teeth, discuss your goals, and determine if clear aligners are your best choice.

We’ll go over the treatment process, explain the costs, and answer any questions you have so you can make an informed decision.

02

Get A Digital Smile Scan

If you decide to start, we’ll take digital impressions with our iTero scanner—no messy molds needed! These digital scans let Dr. Pickett design a precise treatment plan that maps out each step of your smile transformation. You’ll even get a preview your future smile!

03

Pick Up Your Aligners

Once your aligners are ready, you’ll pick them up from our office, along with detailed instructions. You’ll wear each set for about one to two weeks, letting your teeth gradually shift into place.

For the best results, wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day, only removing them to eat, drink, brush, and floss.

Have Regular Check-Ins

Every six to eight weeks, you’ll stop by for a check-in so Dr. Pickett can monitor your progress. These quick visits help ensure your teeth are moving according to plan and give us a chance to make any necessary adjustments.

05

Show Off Your New Grin

After completing your aligner series, it’s time to reveal your new smile! We’ll provide you with a custom retainer to keep your teeth in their new positions, helping you maintain your beautiful results for a lifetime.

06

Swap Your Aligners for Retainers

Once you’ve completed your clear aligner treatment, keeping your teeth from shifting back into old positions is important. To maintain your beautiful, healthy smile, switch from your last set of aligners to a custom-made retainer.

Caring for Your Aligners

Because aligners are removable, cleaning and maintaining your orthodontic treatment has never been easier.

However, you still have a few rules to remember:

Aligner Care 101

Cleaning your aligners daily can be the difference between a great treatment and a not-so-great treatment.

Using a soft-bristled toothbrush and warm water, gently scrub your aligners of any debris or build-up. Don’t use hot water, as it can warp your appliance.

Keep It Stored

When you’re not wearing your clear aligners, make sure to properly store them in their case — during dinner, while brushing, or any other time you’re not wearing them to reduce the risk of losing or damaging them.

Appointments Matter

Keep your regularly scheduled appointments to help us monitor your treatment and make any necessary adjustments. Dr. Pickett will review your smile’s status to ensure everything is on track.

Handle With Care

Your aligners are durable enough to handle the task of easing your teeth into a straighter, healthier smile — but that doesn’t mean you should handle them roughly.

Always use two hands when removing or putting in your aligners, starting at the back of your teeth and gently moving forward. Never use your teeth to press your aligners into place as this can damage them.
