Congrats, you are in the final stage of active treatment! Now it is time to focus on retainers to protect your investment. Dr. Pickett provides both fixed and removable “Clear” retainers whenever possible.
Clear retainers play the most important role to ensure that your smile lasts forever! Our bodies change as we age and our smiles are not exempt from that. This is why we recommend Clear retainers are worn nighttime for a lifetime to prevent relapse.
Here are two things to consider before your next appointment:
- Our office currently provides one clear, Clear retainer per treated arch. You may want to consider a back-up set in case of an emergency if a retainer is lost or broken. We can offer to have a back-up set made at $50 per arch with the next visit. This is the cheapest that we will ever be able to offer a back-up because it would be processed and shipped with the original retainer(s). The payment for a back-up retainer(s) would be due upon arrival to the next appointment.
- Our retainer provider offers a Take-Home Whitening Kit that can be used with your original retainer(s). This a convenient 14-night regimen with 4 gel syringes to brighten the color of the teeth. The cost for this is $50 and would be due upon arrival to the next appointment.
